Greg graduated from the University of Central Arkansas with his Masters of Science degree in Physical Therapy in 1999. His area of clinical emphasis is sport and orthopedic physical therapy. For almost 15 years, he has employed a variety of successful treatment strategies to help his patients including therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, ergonomic education, foam roller release techniques, and stress reduction activities.
After working in various physical therapy settings in Arkansas for three years, Greg took a leap of faith and moved his family to the Pacific Northwest where he helped start an independent free standing outpatient physical therapy clinic in Bellevue. While practicing there as the Director of Therapy and Lead Physical Therapist for over 6 years, Greg refined his practice style and treatment philosophy.
“‘I am a partner, a teacher, and a guide who helps people recover from injuries, conditions, or illnesses and who helps people learn to better care for themselves. Ultimately, I hope that the time spent in physical therapy serves as a stepping stone to life-long health and fitness.”
While in Bellevue, Greg had the opportunity to meet and work with Dr. Michael Hatzakis, Jr., MD, who owned Bellevue Rehabilitation Partners. A little more than 6 years ago, Dr. Hatzakis founded Rehabilitation Options of Issaquah. He then invited Greg to join him at Rehabilitation Options of Issaquah to start the physical therapy department. Five years ago, Greg gladly accepted the opportunity to be part of the team of health care professionals who call Rehabilitation Options of Issaquah home and he has been practicing there ever since.
“The environment at Rehabilitation Options of Issaquah is very innovative and collaborative. We bring our respective areas of knowledge and expertise together when determining the best course of action for our patients. As a multi-disciplinary clinic comprised of medical doctors who specialize in rehabilitation, an exercise physiologist and strength conditioning specialist, a nutritionist, an acupuncturist, a psychotherapist, massage therapists, a yoga therapist, and a physical therapy department, we are partners in both clinical decision making and in the care that we provide. By bringing the best of both Western and Eastern medicine under one roof, we can more readily help our patients to not only recover but also to thrive.”
Greg enjoys many of the outdoor activities that Western Washington has to offer along with the endless varieties of wine and coffee available. Additionally, he and his wife Rachel are very busy raising their children Griffin, Caleb, Sophia, and Isabel as well as their dog, Ruby.
