Kathy is a licensed psychotherapist who bases her work on her client’s strengths, abilities, resources, and values. She individualizes therapy for each person’s needs, experiences, and goals. Her focus is on developing greater awareness of barriers and available choices utilizing a collaborative, solution focused approach. By investigating alternative thought and behavior patterns and expanded possibilities, Kathy’s clients develop broader perspective and skills necessary to achieve positive change and improvement. Kathy earned her Master’s Degree in Applied Behavioral Science from Bastyr University.
Previously, Kathy spent more than twenty years working in the fitness field as a nationally certified group and personal trainer, health club owner, and international speaker. She then pursued a second, complimentary career in clinical psychology. By adding psychological therapy to aid in the management of physical challenges, her clients experience greater results and enhanced feelings of personal control and empowerment. Kathy believes that by integrating physical, emotional and mental health practices we can truly achieve long term improvement, optimum function, and realize the endless benefits of health.
Kathy enjoys cycling, strength training, snow and water skiing, scuba diving, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
