Shortly after graduating from New York Medical College with her Doctorate of Physical Therapy, Samantha took a cross-country trip to join the team at ROI. Samantha is a proud alumna of Providence College in Rhode Island, where she graduated in 2010 with her Bachelor of Science in biology with a focus in premedical sciences. Samantha has worked in a variety of clinical settings throughout her schooling and has narrowed her focus on sports and orthopedic physical therapy. In the clinic she prescribes therapeutic exercise, uses manual therapy techniques and educates her patients to help prevent and recover from injury. Outside of the office, she enjoys running on the track or trails and sipping a cup of coffee or a local pint with friends.
Philosophy of Care
An avid runner for the past 12 years, Samantha’s passion lies in health, wellness, and fitness. She ran as a member of Providence’s Track and Field team in college, competing in the 4 x 800 meter relay. After college she shifted towards racing longer distances independently, competing in half marathons and road races. She has fallen in love with the beautiful Washington trails and hopes to stride through some trail races in her new West Coast home. In keeping with her personal fitness background, her physical therapy approach is centered on tailored exercise prescriptions to help patients prevent and recovery from injury, return to their favorite activities, and become empowered to commit to their health and wellness.
