Wendy Caamano has her undergraduate degree in exercise science and a master’s degree in nutrition from Bastyr University. While earning her masters, Wendy also mentored under Joy Bauer, “The Today Show’s” registered dietitian.
In addition to her formalized education, Wendy has acquired a wealth of experience working with children and a wide range of ethnically diverse clientele in both clinical and community settings. She is a dietitian for the Bellevue Club and has been contracted by the QFC retail food chain to consult with employees under the company’s wellness program. Wendy specializes in nutrition counseling and incorporates a variety philosophies, with Intuitive Eating as one of the key pillars of her practice.
She works with clientele on topics ranging from sports nutrition and disordered eating, to various disease states. As part of her ongoing practice Wendy enjoys working with athletes and families. She has previously worked with the Bellevue Club’s championship swim team and is currently the official dietician for the professional WNBA’s Seattle Storm team and NWSL Seattle Reign team.
She is a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and their practice group for sports dietitians (SCAN). She is also a member of the Collegiate & Professional Sports Dietitians Association.
